Climate

In Winter (June - August) you'll see a dusting of snow on the high peaks, days often open to beautiful clear blue skies and you can see for miles. In Spring (September - November) the surrounding hills turn green and lush and the gardens take on a new lustre.
Education
The state has 218 public schools and colleges. The University of Tasmania has campuses around the state. You can studystudying traditional courses and those matched to Tasmania's characteristics, such as Antarctic and Southern Ocean studies, agriculture, aquaculture, fisheries, mining, forestry and environment and wilderness studies.
